The Chill Tack system is designed for Web Offset printing presses.
A static charge produced by charging bars is applied to the web at the first point of contact to the chill roll. Electrostatic pinning results in more effective web cooling. It also reduces the air gap between web an chill roll, prevents slippage and eliminates condensation streaking. Preventing slippage also reduces tension upsets and improves registration throughout the press.
