Electrostatic Fundamentals & ANSI/ESD S20.20 Awareness (ESD 101)
Objective:
The course will prepare the learner on the physics behind Electrostatic and the factory control of ESD sensitive devices. The learner will be exposed to the different cause and effect of ESD failure models and infers how to mitigate these phenomena. The introduction to the basics of ESD on-chip protections and factory ESD control are outlined.
Learning Outcome:
In this course, the learner will analyse the fundamental of electrostatic, charge generation and mitigation, and the three ESD failure models. The learner will learn the technical requirements of electrostatic discharge protection area (EPA) and measurement tools, as per ANSI/ESD S20.20-2014
Target Participants:
This is a 1-day course targeted at managers, engineers and technicians who are looking to understand the best practices to protect sensitive electronics parts, assembly and manufacturing in EPAs and refreshed their knowledge in the mitigation of ESD.
