ESD Awareness (ESD 102)

Objective:
 
The course will equip the learner on the physics behind Electrostatic and the best practices of factory ESD control for ESD sensitive parts. The learner will recognize the impact of charge generation, different cause and effects of ESD failure model, and the methodologies in mitigating ESD at factory control level.
 
Learning Outcome:

In this course, the learner will classify the fundamental of electrostatic, the three ESD failure models and recognise the electrostatic discharge protected area (EPA) testing equipment and the basics of ESD factory ESD protection
 
Target Participants:

This ½-day course is targeted at managers and engineers who are working in EPAs and  want to refresh their knowledge in the fundamentals of ESD protection of electronics sensitive devices, assembly and manufacturing.
